I was stoked to see a podcast about personal finance but the more I listen, the more I hear inaccurate terms and incomplete information. In the episode about finances and children, the hosts did not once mention the Canada Child Benefit. This payment, that parents receive once a child is born,...Read full review »

I’ve listened to every episode since its launch. As a personal finance enthusiast and writer from America, it’s great to hear the Canadian perspective. A lot of similarities and some differences. I’m fascinated with how Canadians are navigating the housing situation, given prices are much more...Read full review »

Great podcast about finance and money. Wonderful hosts and excellent interviews.

I recently discovered this podcast (Spring 2022) but the timing couldn’t have been better. We are probably in the minority of elder millennials who are considered middle class but hanging on by our teeth with inflation and our stagnant public sector wages. Thanks G&M team for the guidance!

Very informative podcast! Covers a ton of great content, I’d highly recommend it!

I’m not sure who this podcast is really for at this point. Great topics but the solutions don’t really apply to normal working class people. Cant afford childcare? Have your parents pay off your debt. Cant afford a house in Toronto as a 6-figure pro hockey player? Just go to the east coast and...Read full review »

I have never listened or read anything like this. The amount of information you receive in this podcast is astounding. And topics that were so difficult for me to understand are now much more understandable. I recommend it to everyone I know.

I stumbled upon this podcast and I’m hooked! It is informative but still light and fun. I learn something new every episode. The hosts are great and have good chemistry. It’s very relevant to the pandemic and I appreciate that the hosts don’t patronize or condescend millennials.

Love this Canadian content as it’s nice to hear financial stories relating to Canada, however they often have guests that fix part of their financial problems by having help from their parents. This isn’t realistic for everyone.

The topics are wide ranging. Pretty entertaining. I wish Rob’s interviews weren’t so over produced. It sounds like an audio version of a written article. I wish it was more conversational and not cutting off the subject to say tag lines. Roma’s interviews feel a lot more conversational and are...Read full review »

Good content that young adults are talking about. I wish there was less “FOMO” as a conclusion to issues. Example: when do millennials need a house? FOMO!!! Whereas is reality it’s b/c we are tired of raising our kids in 700 sq ft or our parents basements or we are getting renovicted/evicted...Read full review »

It’s really disappointing how you describe renters as if anyone is perfecting this option in Toronto. Listening to 2 homeowners describe all of the “benefits” of renting without acknowledging the stresses and additional costs physically/mentally/emotionally and financially of renting in a city...Read full review »

Rob and Roma cover top of mind topics for young people m, like investing and housing affordability. The conversational format is very engaging. Highly recommended

This is utterly vapid and useless commentary from two people with no empathy or understanding of issues facing coming generations of Canadians. Absolutely forgettable trash.

This is truly one of my favourite podcasts. I’m thrilled to hear another season is in the works.

Love this podcast! The episodes are short, to-the-point and provide great takeaways that you can easily apply to your own life. If you’re interested in exploring a topic further, you can find articles related to the episode theme in the Globe and Mail finance section.

I don’t find that those making 100k are the typical millennials facing financial stress, nor those with27K in investments. Perhaps do an episode with those making 45k or in gig economy with advice for them. In other words do an episode on the current reality.

Love the concept of this show! Halfway through listening to this show I realized I’ve listened to Ben Felix before. Any chance you’ll talk more about the FIRE movement more?

Such helpful advice! They interview both people like me and experts I want to be like, and ask all the questions I’m thinking in my head while I listen. Super practical advice from people who are seeking to understand what it’s like to enter the workforce these days, as well as the things we value!
