Updated review: Declined badly
The show started off decently enough, but the balance of "court culture" to discussion of cases is way, way off. There's a lot of gossip, a lot of politics, and not a lot of law. There's no discussion of the vast majority of cases. What discussion there is isn't anything you couldn't get on cable news. I guess it's fine for what it is, but it's barely a law podcast at this point. The hosts are wasting their considerable talents.Read full review »

For as often as the hosts critically discuss gender politics at the Court, notably missing is any critical discussion of social class or class politics at the Court. The hosts are insiders and their criticisms barely scratch the surface.

Occasionally informative about SC cases, but the generally unbalanced left-wing commentary overwhelms the limited insight. There are many better SC podcasts out there. And Litman’s voice and cadence are very difficult to listen to. You can find better pundits without the painful voice.
