I grew up obsessed with these books and started collecting them as an adult. It’s a lot of fun banter but it’s also extremely interesting to hear these women’s personal and professional analysis of these stories and look at the books and characters through different lenses.

The banter is so fun AND I learn something every time. I never read past book 30 or so, but it doesn’t matter. Still love listening when a new episode drops. (Full disclosure that these are dear old friends - BUT, if it weren’t great, I wouldn’t still be listening!!!!)

Pizza toast to this pod squad. A perfect blend of nostalgia with an astrix via the contemporary lens. The trio does an amaze job at breaking down the problematic elements, provide a historical context, and loving and lol-worthy celebration of our shared youth. A dash of candy and junk food from...Read full review »

I’m thrilled to find a platform all things BSC because I can’t find anyone else in their 40s still stuck in the BSCverse. Love that this isn’t just a book by book recap but a deep dive into what’s realistic, what’s not, and the psychology of the books and characters. Keep up the good work!!!

I love this show! The chemistry between Esme, Anne, and Emily is wonderful and I love the takes they bring to the BSC books. I came for the critical theory and stayed for the pop culture and junk food analysis. Fantastic!

I’m a young viewer that loves podcasts to a almost concerning amount, haha, and I gotta say this is one of my favorite ones I’ve only read a few of the original babysitters books but adore the graphic novels and Netflix series! I’ve been listening for about 2 years now because I was looking for a...Read full review »

I enjoy listening to the discussions of these old books that I loved as a kid. The hosts read and loved the books as kids and now are re-reading them through adult eyes. They don’t go into exhaustive detail about each book, instead they focus on the most interesting or troubling aspects. They...Read full review »

I’ve been listening to several different podcasts during my long commute, and Stuck is Stoneybrook is the only one I loved enough to make a point of writing a review. I LOVE the banter between the hosts, the insights on different topics, and just the general discussion of the increasingly...Read full review »

I was hoping this podcast would be a little snarkier, but have genuinely enjoyed the more academic takes on the main issues brought up in the BSC books. My main complaint is that Emily, who seems like a very intelligent and well-read woman, apparently knows absolutely nothing that happened in pop...Read full review »

This one is a bit boring but I still usually listen to new episodes. I like Anne. Emily seems like a huge drag.

Stuck in Stoneybrook is literally my favorite podcast! I love the structure, the jokes and relationships amongst Anne, Emily, and Esme and how they bring in really interesting info and conversations, while also being hilarious. I literally lost it in the episode where they played “Candy Store.”...Read full review »

I love looking back at these books and to have a podcast is pretty sweet. I agree with their point of views and the interviews with the actresses is awesome! The books from an adult point of view is eye opening. I do think that the wokeness is too much from time to time. I get it but this is a...Read full review »

I learned about this podcast through a friend who’s a fan, so I decided to check it out. I’m so glad I did, because now I’m hooked. Never have I ever reviewed a podcast but Stuck in Stoneybrook is just that good! I asked my mom to unearth my old BSC collection earlier this year (she saved everything!) and I’ve been on a nostalgia trip ever since. Ladies this is a dream come true! I keep plowing through each episode on a road trip. The verbal tics of the constant “likes” are awfully distracting though and kind of takes away from the intelligent batter and conversation. Content wise, I’m loving it!
