“I'm not the target audience for this podcast: I've never read these books, I'm not now and never have been a young girl, and I don't agree with sitting on babies (kidding; of course I do). I love this podcast! If you enjoy listening to smart people talk with intelligence and humor about something they're passionate about, you'll love it, too.
The hosts are relaxed, easy, but so on point, moving seamlessly from pop culture and deep discussions of the character's favorite candy, serious academic interpretations of the events in the book and the culture that made them.

“I love this show! The chemistry between Esme, Anne, and Emily is wonderful and I love the takes they bring to the BSC books. I came for the critical theory and stayed for the pop culture and junk food analysis. Fantastic!”
