“I like the format. One of the issues I have with debates, even Intelligence Squared, is that they only offer two sides. It is much better to try to find common ground and identify outstanding questions as that moves the discussion forward.”

“The BBC adopts the classic style of pitting one person against another which I find prevents any exploration of ideas. I also note that the experts interviewed tend to be journalists, who are not experts. Academics, lawyers, doctors, teachers and so on would be much more helpful.”
