I wasn't familiar with Mr. Cooley's work before I had stumbled upon this novella. It's an interesting novella in that the narration seems so relaxed and calm. I had thought the narrator Mr. Coolie ate something that soothed his stomach before he had started speaking. Ah. As for the writing, I...Read full review »

This is really hard to listen to, the writer obviously knows very little about the tattoo industry. I've listened to the first 45 mins and I can't listen anymore.

The only problem with this story is that there wasn't more of it!! Looking forward to more from this author

It's short, novella length I'd guess, only six episodes. But it did what it needed to do for a complete story. Some of the characters are a bit one dimensional and he seems kinda fixated on peeing one’s self and dicks. But it was a cool look into the tattoo culture-or at least a very dark take on...Read full review »

This was a well performed and written story but rather stereotypical tatto clientel was disapointing. and the ending was not my favorite but please try this one... its good.

Overall a good story, but not great. The characters are interesting and the plot in this novella moves right along. Its hardly edge of your seat material, but also will keep you interested. Unfortunately, you can see the ending coming almost from the get-go, and when it does arrive it doesn't...Read full review »

Really enjoyed the idea behind this story. Reminiscent of 'Silence of the Lambs' except without any good guys. Very rich character details and development with a great cliffhanger. A few stammers should probably have been cleaned up in the audio production, but considering this was one of the...Read full review »

Having listened to Tattoo, and as I am one of the "tattoo community", I found it to be a very creepy as well as very good story. As for the review left by Whitney Hanson. Whitney, Its because you didnt make it through the first chapter that you did not get the whole picture of the the story...Read full review »

The reason this is an awful story, is that it is another typical defamatory representation of the tattoo community. I'm tired of seeing the only characters in the industry being shown as drug-abusing, trashy, uneducated, and HERE, SHIRTLESS people. The author clearly did not do his research...Read full review »

This one will make you think twice about defacing your body. But if you are going to, you might want to make sure no one else wants your ink.Read full review »

Seeing as this is my first audiobook I've listen to, I've surely been spoiled. Great short story... Wish it was longer.

Loss, desire, envy, and determination are all potrayed in maniacal and disturbonig fashion (I WOULD add "hope" and "redemption " . . . but this is NOT a Disney audiobook. Did you not read the part about Shadow Publications: "We don't believe in happy endings"?) If you are looking for a shoot 'em...Read full review »

I love the fiendmaster intros and the voice work of Andrew as Nigel. This story traces a reporter trying to find serial killer that collects art for a very freaky reason that I don't want to spoil for you. After each episode you really can't wait to get into the next chapter to see how it is...Read full review »
