Thanks Dad with Ego Nwodim
Raised by a single mom, Ego Nwodim may have daddy issues, but she suspects you might, too. On Thanks Dad, she invites guests to be her “Dad for the Day” and has funny, heartfelt conversations with them about their experiences with their own dads and as parents themselves. Each episode wraps up with her getting practical advice from her guests such as how to get the best deal when buying a house, how to know you’ve found “the one,” and how to perfect your jump shot.

tone deaf
Bill Burr Episode turned me off the whole show. She’s trying to be too silly/joking about serious conversations and it just come across weird and insensitive

Beautiful
Listening to the episode with Hasan brought me to tears, unexpectedly. I am not born of immigrant parents but it does bear repeating that so many of us have been given so much that we have taken for granted. Thanks, Ego, for sharing your vulnerability while bringing levity and humor to us all.

Finding its legs
Great idea good conversation. With time Ego will learn to let her guests speak no need to rush to fill silence and letting questions have a moment to breathe. All those things come with time.
