This year the Open celebrates its 150th Championship at St Andrews but it was in October 17 in 1860 where 8 men played over the links of prestwick to see who would become the champion golfer of the year.  We are joined this week by Ken Goodwin, Secretary of Prestwick Golf Club as we dive into the club, the course and its history. While Scotland may be famed for its championship links layouts, the quality of golf within the nation’s major cities is notable. Indeed, the highest concentrations of golf courses in Scotland are around Glasgow (over 90 courses) and the capital city of Edinburgh (over 65 courses).
