Highly recommended for folks in helping professions
After listening to one of these podcasts, I don’t click delete. I save it to re-listen to later, because the info and insight is that engaging. I work in a partial-hospitalization program, serving folks struggling with addiction, trauma, and eating disorders. This podcast helps me freshen up my mindspace and learn something new. The speakers’ passion is evident and infectious, and reminds me how lucky I am to work in the field I love. The host and speakers are experts in their fields, which is awesome. Better yet, they seem like caring, intelligent, humble folks I’d *want* to learn from. They model healthy insight, especially regarding the balance of providing quality client care and self care. (Eek, always a challenge in the field!) Also, the conversations remind me that I’m part of a ‘community of helpers.’ This helps me not feel as dried up and alone when the job gets tough. As you can imagine, some days are harder than others, when you’re helping folks in crises. This podcast helps me shake off the burnout blues and return to the work I love, refreshed and ready to work, from a healthy heartspaace. Thank you for providing this podcast. Appreciate you!

Why aren’t Medications for Opioid Use Disorder ever talked about? This surprises me especially in light of the overdose crisis...Read full review »
