“Where I appreciate Ms Rosenberg's considerable interest in the subject matter and value her written journalistic contributions—I find her affected vocal style hugely distracting. I found the content and import of this series somewhat lacking as well—due perhaps in part to the short-form format. Aside: I am aware that vocal styles morph along with cultural changes, and that whatever issues I may have with newer vocal styles (e.g., vocal fry, up-speak, prefacing sentences with the word "so" and/or the phrase "sort of", chronic overuse/abuse of the word "absolutely," etc.) is (are) "my problem(s)." ~ End”Read full review »
