I enjoy this podcast for a number of reasons, specifically because I prefer the lack of unnecessary music and sound effects which makes is easy to follow, the host has a monotonous voice which also makes it easier to focus on the story and understand. However, I’ve listened to about 80% of the...Read full review »

Great podcast, I started listening from the beginning a few weeks ago and it fast became one of my favourite true crime binges. Very interesting episodes and now I’m on Instagram I can look up the pics that go with it. Also I love that Jessica talks a bit about each country, its culture etc,...Read full review »

Just found this podcast and currently binging all the episodes! Love how Jessica tells the stories and finds the most interesting subjects

The host sounds like she’s reading from a script, no emotion whatsoever. It really takes you out of the story.

I love this podcast. Jessica is such a quirky but compassionate narrator and her stories are always fascinating. Give this a try you will not regret it

I cannot not recommend this podcast enough! There are so many true crime podcasts out there, but separating herself from the pack is Jess. Not just because she chooses to cover crimes done to people on or from the asian continent - but also because of the unique way she tells her stories. She is...Read full review »

There are many true crime podcasts out there. But Jessica is my favourite somehow. Her kind of flat tone voice is actually not to bad to follow for crime stories instead of some noisy and fast paced storytelling.

I’ve been a listener for awhile. I have adhd so I’m terrible with time, so idk exactly how long, but I’ve been able to binge a few episodes at a time. Kind of like a yummy snack, I’ve been purposely hoarding episodes so I could listen to more than one at a time. Imagine my dismay and surprise...Read full review »

Straight to the point facts and keen observations from a host with an excellent sense of dry humor. Found the podcast on motherhood and Mayhem collab.

She tells thorough history about all new places featured in Asian Madness stories. She’s humble and righteous and wishes the best for her listeners. Oh and her pronunciation of Chinese names is scrummy. The podcast has a bit too much of men’s violence against women for mine, but there are a lot...Read full review »

Ooh girl, nah…. just no. I like the podcast but I’m kinda turned off overall. There’s a lot of unnecessary tidbits that take away from the narrative. Podcasts should be like a good meal. Don’t put anything on the plate that doesn’t benefit the dish as a whole, aren’t complimentary flavors or are...Read full review »

This podcast has been one that I’ve been able to binge without eventually getting bored. Jessica has covered cases that I’ve never heard on other podcasts and I do feel guilty saying that I like her sometimes deep history lessons before getting into the gist of the case. I like the stories Jessica tells, but it does annoy me when she keeps telling her own opinion, calling men sexist and typical European countries to invade and colonize other Asian countries.

Thank you for giving geographic and socioeconomic facts about each country before discussing each case. This is great background information. I also appreciate the light humor and sarcasm to ease the dark topics.

Jessica is one of the kindest true crime podcasters. She isn’t trying to be funny off the backs of the bruised, she isn’t trying to make a buck off someone else’s misery, and she isn’t a plagiarist—all of which make her stand out from the crowd. Plus, she is a sweetheart, and her tales of Asian...Read full review »
