I am a Canadian - not a lawyer or teacher (so non-expert)
We invest in public education provincially & federally - is it perfect? No. Is there still disparity? Yes - but the chances a poor kid or a First Nation’s kid will get a solid education are much better. If u look at our system for FNs - egregious. Why? B/c its segregated - on Reserves.
It has to be systemic / policy based w gov’t investment. We are far from lerfect & continue to have policies that hurt our most vulnerable.
There are no volunteers (or rare) who will integrate given the perception/ misperception their child will in some way suffer/ have greater challenges
I have no answers other than the gov’t w tax dollars needs to invest - in teachers, in schools
Etc
Its the foundation of society
& it needs to be FAIR
