A story of systemic failure...and survival
CBC reporter, Julie Ireton, patiently and methodically unravels the story, it’s lies and willful denials, that was at the heart of this systemic failure. I agree with what John Cody has to say about the word, survivor. It is too individual/personal when it is never their fault to begin with. Casualties is a much better way to describe what happens when a depraved adult is allowed, possibly even enabled, to steal the innocence of our children. I hope there will be a follow-up to learn what changes the accountable institutions make. Thank you, Julie, and to the CBC, for revealing the truth of Bell High School.

This series was so sad to hear. I could tell the story really blew up and a sisterhood was formed as a result of this reporting. Episode 8 that featured punch daddy bright me to tears. He is so sweet. Start listening now. Glad to hear all these women have somebody to turn to now
