I have been wondering for months why there so many glitches in the Simmons and Rusillo podcasts. Todays even had a commercial being read over the interview with Van Lathan. What’s the deal with this? Kyle? Cerruti?

This podcast is essentially bill simmons making an argument that Karl Malone is better than Kevin Durant.

Simmons introduces topics and then changes them basically every thirty seconds. He doesn’t give people a chance to respond. Being his guest must be so aggravating. And I don’t care about your golf game.

Luka would be best in the world if he beats Joker? About to be 3 time MVP and NBA Champion is done just like that? Lazy takes from an old man who can barely pronounce words anymore. I think his role should be re-cast with Meryl Streep.

You do realize that Rob Mahoney arrogantly claimed that he knows better than Phil Jackson, right? He called the TPO an unimpressive and stodgy offense. Phil’s offense never ranked lower than 14th in 20 seasons and ranked Top 5 in 14 of them. Mahoney has no love or passion for the game of...Read full review »

It seems like no matter how much sabonis put up crazy stats you’ll try everything to put him down if Anthony Davis had these stats you’ll be screaming mvp but it’s kings hate I get it lol go better

Love this pod & listen religiously, but does anyone feel like these topics are just so stupid & unnecessary? Made up nba awards? Why not just talk about the games, the teams & players trending up or down, playoff potential, gambling content… please no more fake trades or comparing...Read full review »

You list Tyler Herro? You didn’t mention even GRAYSON ALLEN. Hello?

Bill, you wrote a book called “The Book of Basketball” and you decide to dedicate a podcast to “WrestleMania 40 Mega Preview” the week of the Final Four without digging into college hoops this week. C’mon man.

Enjoy your podcast. You have Chris Cohan and James Dolan ranked too high. They are clearly right there in the Sterling zone

Bill, appreciating you and your team of contributors from over here in Israel. Can always rely on you guys for fresh perspectives and an enjoyable listening experience.

I understand Bill has his media company covering pop culture, but his pods with entertainment or non sports figures are just not good. When I see anything other than sports it’s a non listen from me. Other than that I love listening to Bill even though he’s super bias towards Boston sports, can’t...Read full review »

I’ve listen to bill since page 2 and I still never miss a podcast. Top 8 podcast of all time.

Talking hoops shouldn’t feel like a senate hearing. Russillos energy is way too intense these days

The pod was at one time - very specific or themed. As of late, this V8 blended juice approach is not what I am interested in. I will seek out the Sunday Night Cousin Sal pod, but regarding the rest of it- its time for me to go. Thanks for the good times.

The 2017 warriors were way way way more stacked than the 2017 Cavs and anyone who wants to pretend it was a fair matchup (Bill) is obviously just looking for anyway to denigrate LeBron. Gross

Why do I have to keep listening to serial choker Doc Rivers and nepo baby Austin Rivers? Any other guests would be more insightful

I am a fan of the pod mainly for the NBA content. But the fact that Bill and Bleacher Report guy spent 30 mins glazing each other and other media companies (many which are no longer) without one mention of what Portnoy and Barstool have been able to build as a media company in the sports...Read full review »

Whoever does the timestamps genuinely deserves to be fired. That, and the audio engineering that will replay snippets more often than an 18 year old sound tech at a local radio station. It’s shocking that a podcast of this reach, revenue, and audience can’t get the basics right. And none of this...Read full review »

While he is quite talented, it is irresponsible to ignore the way he has decided to use his platform. Also too much discussion of betting. Love the pod otherwise.

Russillo coming on to either do 1) a quick 5 minute standup routine or 2) get uncomfortably angry in spurts of 1 minute at some scarecrow nba topic. Brothers gotta cool down, go for a walk, get offline for a bit ryen, it’s too much.

Sabonis? Really? Usually enjoy Bill Simmons’ podcasts but that was a lazy take. If Wos can get a double double for 20 nba games, I will agree with his Sabonis take. Otherwise he is a joke.

And I want to know: 1. Where has JackO been?! Between the Judge contract, HC football and Herschel Walker we need JackO! 2. Million Dollar Picks could be the dumbest segment in podcasting. The picks mean nothing and Peter Schrager is an unatheltic jock-sniffer. All he does is name drop and...Read full review »

I get that it’s primarily an NBA podcast, but during non-NBA content, notice how often Bill will change the subject to the NBA when he’s outside his comfort zone on the topic. “We have to solve homelessness in order to make tourists feel safe” is the worst take to have gone unchallenged on this podcast since Rusillo’s thoughts on the horrors of stealing sneakers
jeffyjk via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/07/24
Bill has really regressed as a podcaster. He has lost any and all zip on his fastball. Now he’s just a rag-arm middle reliever who is trying to trick people to get by for another year before he’s fully exposed. This has just become a sports betting podcast run by a guy who is clueless. He’s just...Read full review »

I’ve never heard Bill misunderstand a take so poorly. Chuck is right. CJ Stroud is an anomaly. Don’t take a pick so high; just take the best player available.

Mike@C via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/01/24

Why has this become the unofficial podcast of the Golden State Warriors? No podcast is better listening for me than Simmons/Russillo doing a joint Monday morning podcast covering basketball. Other Ringer shows are really good too, but those two together is the pinnacle.

bob69at GR via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/26/24
As a longtime listener, it’s stunning how much less enjoyable this podcast has become. Bill has become lazy and puts in the minimum amount of work watching the leagues he is allegedly a self-proclaimed expert in. His takes on specific NFL/NBA teams are often based on the 1-2 games he has seen and...Read full review »
