A good story in search of a hook
The interviews bring us great access to different people across many aspects of the story. The production as a whole somehow fails to be very engaging, though. It's missing something I can't quite put my finger on. It's also missing ANY kind of segue to the commercials and back. At times it feels like the ads cut off an interview before it's done. Then when the ads are finished, nope, nothing more to hear there, we're off and running to the next bit. It's very jarring, and the rating loses an extra star for not even attempting to do something which so many other good podcasts handle so easily.Read full review »

I was really looking forward to an in-depth analysis of how the game fell from success. Instead we heard a lot of old names reminiscing about past glory days and airing old grudges. I also found the interviewer’s “yeaaah” and “ummmm” particularly annoying.

Really tough listen. There is a wonderful and sad history here and instead we can these incredibly boring character pieces.

This could have been a great analysis but was ruined by the host placing herself at the centre of the story and pretending she was on This American Life.
