What a listen! Saturday's episode with two extraordinary voices - @benshewry interviewed by @antoinette_lattouf. "Something that stuck out to me was that true innovation requires dead ends and you have to be willing to walk down them. You'll lose large parts of your life to it. The...Read full review »

Thank you for in the interview with the mother and daughter who lost all those family members in Lebanon. I bawled the whole time. Then the interview with the Doctor treating Palestinian refugees - not all heroes wear capes. ABC clearly lost an excellent presenter in Antionette

…however Antoinette Lattouf’s narcissism is growing old.

I loved this interview. I thought Craig made some great points on how “politeness “ is held up as a tool to maintain the status quo, like as happened with Lydia Thorpe recent outburst ( I’m no fan boy BTW). His arguments on the benefits of well resourced public education were spot on . Our lack...Read full review »

Back in the Tom Tilley days the podcast was a lot harder hitting. It so fluffy and uninteresting now.

We have heard a lot of late about the housing crisis for renters and new home buyers….. How about the issues currently facing new home owners who have purchased an apartment that was build with multiple defects and dodgy cladding, but builders (aka like ProBuild) have gone into liquidation so now...Read full review »

When are we going to start asking questions about the real motivation for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. According to Misha - Putin just wanted a land grab “it’s as simple as that”. (Might have got your countries confused there.) Seems like every media outlet & ‘political analyst’ is simply...Read full review »

When you do have two strong willed and skilled women, discussing current issues, then we know that the end result is just a wonderful recipe for the future.

Everyone will agree with this journalism to each other . Then totally vote and think differently , against the Leftist Socialist Overtones . Hence the silent majority has a brain ‘, but can’t be seen calling out the Woke !

Was floored by the interview with Tim Minchin. Well done Antoinette for keeping the focus on his glib abrogation of responsibility.

Love love loved Lattouf taking on Turnbull. Smart, charming yet fearless. She’s a national treasure and doesn’t deserve what she’s been dragged thru

This show used to be balanced. Tom Tilley was great. Now it’s more of a briefing on a particular point of view. The other side of any argument is barely, if ever presented. Some presenters are too close to issues to really be able to be objective.

The episodes I struggled through comprised banal leftist attitudes. The presenters were inarticulate and inexperienced but sure their opinions were correct and unassailable.

I’m a daily listener and it was so refreshing to finally hear some honest journalism regarding Gaza, sharing the facts and not using the same sanitised language we see everywhere. Shoutout to Antoinette Latouf and Sacha Barbour Gatt for their reporting.

This show used to be part of my daily routine; I really looked forward to it. But I’m finding that ever since Tom Tilly left the content has descended into relatively narrow-minded, regurgitated takes on pop culture trends. I miss hearing both sides, I miss intellectual discussion on...Read full review »

I listened to the interview with Scott Morrison, Tbh , the questions could have been a bit more tougher but the journalist didn’t buy into his BS & it showed what an absolute Baffoon he is & thankfully we voted him out & I hope we’ve learnt the lesson

It you are looking for genuine investigative journalism with out an agenda look somewhere else. Don’t insult your ears and intelligence by listening to this rubbish!

Thank you so much for actually covering Gaza without fear and the BS we get from other media outlets. Appreciate you not muzzling your journalists. And glad Tom is not doing news anymore because he couldn’t hide his racism

I think I need to unfollow. It’s hard for me as I’m a creature of habit and the Briefing is my morning routine now. Sad to be leaving a negative review given the podcast had become part of my morning ritual since COVID. Sadly the changes to the lineup this year have been to the detriment of the podcast. One of the new hosts in particular sounds in slow motion, and he can’t help but try and tell us what to...Read full review »

Poorly disguised opinion pieces around current affairs, broadly interspersed with editorial content which really should either be ads or at least have a level of disclosure. When science topics are handled the information is out of date and cherry picked to allow the presenter to illustrate...Read full review »

Today’s ep was outrageously ageist. I know Antoinette is going through some aggregeous discrimination right now, which is why I think she should be a bit more sensitive to it. Bye Briefing.

Often factually incorrect or misleading. Usually strongly biased. Pandering to people’s outrage instead of bringing insight.

Every single time inflation and the RBA is discussed the hosts insist on giving personal views that are often ignorant of how economics and higher inflation impact EVERYONE by making us all poorer. Therefore it is RIGHT to leave the RBA to do their job without you weigh in that’s so obviously...Read full review »

Have listened to the briefing every morning for years. Unfortunately the biased reporting, which reeks of racism from Tom Tilley is just disturbing. No way! We’ve seen time and again how police misuse the personal information of others. And if people don’t want to let police to access their phone camera does that mean they’re given less priority or not believed?

On a declared week of mourning over the voice result, you gave Warren Mundine a platform to lay the boot in. Well done.
Letsgetbreaddytorumble via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 10/15/23
Dude just let Peter Dutton spout a bunch of BS, offered some resistance to the straight up lies about the voice being equivalent to the high court but then immediately rolled over and let him keep going. If you leave the interview on unchallenged lies you aren’t doing your job
Nate2771 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 10/11/23
So disappointed this morning to hear you provide a platform to Dutton. A known misinformation champion who walked out on the apology. What a huge shame that you support him to get his racists views to others. I’m no longer listening. Cop out.

I listen most days and find it really informative. I just want to say that I am an older Gen x and either I think like a younger person or you have got Gen x wrong. I have loads of friends who also think in the same way as milenials do.

Why didn’t you ask Thomas Mayo about his rant, “rent and reparations” or is this forbidden? Also why didn’t you ask about his fear mongering tactics after he said, “if we lose, aboriginal people will be worse off” or is impartiality dead?

I’ve been listening to The Briefing since COVID and (babies!). It’s kept me informed and entertained on many energy-sapping pram walks … love the fast news and the deep-dive topics and, most of all, the great team behind it all.
