Compare only the titles and loglines of the first or even third season with the last and you can see how lost in minutia this once "bright" premise got. Seems the writer got lost in the trappings of YA fiction when if they'd put in the work and time, they had the promise of a mature...Read full review »

I love this podcast. It almost reminds me of X-men. The abilities of everyone and all the characters you can’t help but just love wach and everyone one of them. I only found this podcast about a week ago and I can’t stop amazing work I hope you will be doing more

To be fair, several of the actors are quite good, but I found it difficult to listen to this for long because the actress who plays Dr. Bright is very stiff and sounds like she's reading her lines instead of performing. I just couldn't get into it the way I expected to considering that...Read full review »

I love this podcast to death, if only out of sheer nostalgia. This show is a blast from the past. It so well encapsulates the mid 2010s; it feels like I dug a time capsule from the bows of 2016 tumblr. It has a genuinely intriguing plot and the acting is phenomenal but I sometimes question...Read full review »

This podcast is for people who like immersive, well written “light” SF. The voice acting is superb. The storyline is presented in such a way to invite the listener to deduce bit by bit what is going on. It’s one to savor, not to rush through. The are many layers to enjoy.

I’m on season 4 and absolutely hooked. Well acted, well written, and chock-full of really complex and interesting characters and big mental health topics that are handled really well.

My partner and I enjoy this show so much, we always listen on long trips…only one downside… if you’re listening to it in the car, it’s not high/low balanced. People will talk so softly you have to crank up the volume to understand them (Frank especially or sad moments) and then someone will speak...Read full review »

Bright Sessions only came to me around late October 2023 I’m in early December now listening to the 6th season with a full time very demanding job. The series have been highlights from my day ever since. The combination of sci-fi with psychology- just wonderful!!! I learn a lot about my self...Read full review »

Love this podcast. I hope future spinoffs occur. I’d really like to learn more about The Order, and people like Sadie. The world Lauren Shippen has made is compelling and will draw listeners in. I’m sad that it’s finished but glad to know there’s books so will try to get my hands on them.

I endured the strange underage gay romance that took up 25% of the entire podcast in hope that the core story was going somewhere, but season 4 came and slammed on the brakes, the entire show turned into a bad soap opera, the story disappears completely and every single person moans and complains...Read full review »

When it first started, I was ready to roll my eyes and find another podcast. I AM SO GLAD I STUCK AROUND!! Love this show! When I tell you I was yelling at Damien during the Mark episode (s4 e8 or e9?). He said your words matter. Apologize and SHOW that you are truly sorry. I mean what? “After...Read full review »

I really love this show and the characters but… I think there’s something wrong with the episode sort. There’s random episodes anywhere and the show is missing a lot of them. I went from session one with Chloe and Sam to session nine with Caleb and it’s rlly confusing

Like the show but I noticed that every theme song sounds exactly like another shows theme….The Black Tapes and The White Vault don’t deserve their music stolen???

I’m listening to this with my pre-teens and it’s great. Safe and fun for them (if you don’t mind a little cussing) and interesting enough for me. It’s hard to find shows that meet those both needs.

I loved so much about this podcast. There were some voice actors who were very flat in the beginning but just give it time. Excellent plot and storyline.

Damn this is so derivative, shallow and YA or pre teen or, I don’t even know if this show knows who it’s for other than some really unimaginative people. Hard pass. Save your time and go listen to something by Dead Signals.

I never thought I’d find a podcast as good as Welcome to Nightvale. The Bright Sessions holds its own, and more. If you’re mentally ill, queer, and/or strange, you have found the show that gets you.

Very good podcast, but in season 7 the drama of Caleb goes on and on and on. Grow up Caleb and put your big boy pants on OMG. Too much of it. Move on

Really enjoyed the vibe of the first season but the second and even more so in the third it turned into a teen/reality show drama of bickering and finger pointing. The dialogue of the adults vs the young adults became identical lowering the plot down to the lowest common denominator of drama. I...Read full review »

I listen to the TBS series over and over again, and it still holds up, even after the tenth, twentieth, thirtieth listen. So good. This podcast has made me laugh, cry and ponder the structure of our society and the way we treat others. It feels wrong to call it a podcast when it almost feels these characters are real people. Began with the Bright Sessions and fell down the rabbit hole. The writing was great until the College tapes.
