“This is my favorite Lovecraft adaptation ever. Download and give yourself five or so terrifying and wonderous hours.
I have great love for many of the HPL Historical Society Dark Adventure Radio Theater shows (in particular ATMOM, Innsmouth, Call of Cthulhu). And there are a number of good Lovecraft visual adaptations, including The Resurrected, a good and faithful take on Charles Dexter Ward.
But this updating is the best adaptation of Lovecraft, and how it interdigitates with it's influences and things it has influenced, and then related, I've ever heard. I've written a book specifically that specifically covers this, I won't name it out of decency :), and I was grinning gleefully on where this went. And the Cosmic Horror, the real sense of things being wrong and bigger than anything you can do, is captured beautifully here.
