“This is a solid, well produced podcast.
Each story focuses on a singular crime or series of crimes (mostly murders). It keeps a good balance of teaching you about all aspects of the crimes including the victims, investigations, sentencing and criminal. This podcast doesn’t glorify serial killers either, but describes their life, if they were a victim once and does it’s best to get into their mindset, without ever excusing their actions. What this podcast and the narrator Simon does best, is to talk about the victim, who they were, their hopes and dreams, their impacts on friends and family, what they were doing before their life was ruined. This is why this pod can be depressing a lot of the time, but it’s important that a victims story is told. Too many women and children are still killed by men and so many times, the crime could have been prevented by the police taking proper action when complaints of violence or abuse are made. The women become statistics and the kids may be mentioned on the news, but forgotten soon after. These stories are a reminder why early intervention is important to prevent murders of innocent people.
Anywho, great podcast and a must listen for true crime fans.”
