Great podcast. I'm kindda hooked as I'm a tech evangelist in Nigeria. However, there's the need to correct the name of the Chief of Staff to the Preaident of Nigeria. Your presenter say Abraham Gambari. The first name is actually Ibrahim. Pronounced Eee-bra-heem.Read full review »

This is a really great podcast with enlightening topics and quality hosts and guests. I wish the episodes could be a little bit longer in order to delve a little deeper, but I highly recommend the show. I started listening a few years ago out of passing curiosity, and I ended up writing my master...Read full review »

Great information and both Eric and Cobus are excellent. The only problem is that some of their Chinese presenters are subpar. I don't fault the podcast for this however, as they get good speakers from Africa. Oftentimes the Chinese that they interview sound like they are reading from a CCP...Read full review »

I like the content and I really like Cobus (Kobus?) van Staden. He's smart and reasonable. But Eric Olander is so freaking annoying. He's often casually racist towards his non-white guests. He's often really rude to the African guests in a way that he never is towards white guests. Maybe he...Read full review »

The two hosts of this podcast have a deep knowledge of both sets of issues, Chinese & African. Frequently they, along with a guest, will go down a logic path common in popular media… but they pull you right back with a logical or statistical either rebuttal or explanation. Analytical and...Read full review »

If you are interested in Africa and China relations then this podcast is the right one to subscribe to. I like how both presenters approach subjects objectively and by that I mean they give you what Western, African and Chinese media coverage on different subject matters are.

Great podcast to follow developments in Africa that are related to socio-economic and political changes, which result from economic activities of very diverse Chinese actors on the continent. The conversations are always informative and insightful.

A fantastic podcast focusing on this most important but largely ignored by westerners topic. Each episode stands on its own, but there are continuing themes that are stressed throughout to provide continuity. Extremely balanced presentation of viewpoints. Inclusion of African, Chinese, and...Read full review »

Love the show. I grew up in Africa and they tell it as it is. They offer a balanced view and invite scholars/journalists to comment on issues regarding China and Africa. Especially loved the Nick Francis episode (When China met Africa).

China-Africa relations are overlooked in the west but will be critically important this century. This podcast is educational, informative and applicable to business, especially anything related to China or Africa.

The 3 members of the podcast team are very well informed on China-Africa issues and cover very well issues that receive little attention in the US.
