Ouch!
For choice of material I'd rate this 5 stars. When Mr. Harrison gives voice to a specific character I think he's great. But whenever he narrates anything in the first person I can't help wincing. Does the reader know that there is a difference between reading and acting?? To hear him try to emote every single word in a sentence is so excruciating painful that my attention is taken completely away from the story. I wish he would just calm down and read in a natural voice! (And the tag line: "...so often trod, so soon forgotten..."? Does that make sense? They're not forgotten - that's what makes them CLASSICS!)Read full review »
