Really good and engaging journalism
I stumbled upon the "Centrepoint" podcast somewhat by accident—if I recall correctly, it was recommended in the app I use. As someone living in Germany, I had never heard of Centrepoint before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. This element of the unknown only added to the intrigue. One of the standout features of the podcast is its deliberate, slow-paced storytelling. This approach works exceptionally well in unraveling the complex narrative of the Centrepoint commune and its profound impact on the lives of those involved. The pace allows listeners to fully absorb the details and nuances of the story, making the experience both immersive and thought-provoking. The production quality is top-notch. Each episode is crafted with great care, featuring well-conducted interviews that provide diverse perspectives and insights. The interviewees are engaging, and their personal stories add a deeply human element to the historical account. The music, too, deserves a special mention. It’s not just background filler but an integral part of the storytelling that enhances the overall mood and atmosphere of the podcast. The series manages to be both educational and entertaining, striking a perfect balance that keeps listeners hooked from start to finish. Whether you're familiar with Centrepoint or, like me, discovering it for the first time, this podcast offers a captivating exploration of a fascinating topic. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates well-produced, in-depth documentary storytelling.Read full review »

Great reporting on a commune in my own community. Great to hear from the kids, and to have their story shared. Massive kudos to Angie and her sisters. I went to school with her, and remember her well. If only we had known what was going on.

Wonderful story telling by Adam. Told with empathy, good journalism, humour where appropriate and superb delivery. I was shocked, intrigued by the story and the individuals and baffled by their cult following mentality. Making any EVER feel vulnerable is always wrong. I did indeed want to pull...Read full review »
