It’s compassionate and doesn’t shy away from the complexities, but is also not in any way morally ambiguous about the stupidity and abuse which occurred in this place. The reporter has a gift for drawing people out, letting them show their failings, and not leaving them exploited. A remarkable effort - and a reminder to always, always, stay an adult around kids.”
