Greco-Roman history for the layman
I discovered The Cost of Glory podcast a couple of days ago and have been glued to it since. Ancient history was an obscure area in my knowledge, although I knew that it was very important and rich with learnings. Alex has begun to unveil it to me in an extremely easy-to-listen-to style. I love the practicality of it, the takeaways at the end of each figure and just simply how fun it is to listen to. Anyone who wants to know more about that period of history, the various philosophies prevailing during that epoch, and the players that influenced it should definitely listen to this podcast. The biographies are excellent, both in terms of content and style! The coaching element is easily avoidable as it is kept in separate wrap-up episodes. I’m so glad you went on Pete’s show! Now I’ve found a new history podcast. And great voice. I too have a history show and I think part of why it’s taken off is cause of a good voice (I’m told). Keep up the good work! I can’t wait to catch up.
