“This show is great… good questions, insightful commentary, well rounded topic list. One huge irritant however is that this (and every other CBC offering of this genre) podcast’s bumpers (ads at the head and tail of the real content) is at twice the volume of the actual program. I live in a condominium, and if I adjust the volume to a reasonable level at the outset, it’s far too low when the show finally begins, and if I adjust it afterwards, when the final bumper plays I get noise complaints from my neighbours. Is this really necessary? There are now laws prohibiting this practice in broadcast media; why are you persisting in doing so just because this format is digital?”
