Way to Biased
I’ve been listening to the CBC my whole life, almost everyday at work too. The CBC always leaned left, not a problem, I hardly noticed, so do I. But lately the CBC has gone so far the the left they’ve become a parody worthy joke. It’s hard to tell sometimes if it’s an episode of “this is that”. Depending on the interview the host can be fair, reasonable, even sensitive, a strength of hers. But objectivity, however, is not her strength, in many interviews the host is hostile and prone to interrupt. It can get incredibly cringy, and sometimes upsetting, especially when you were interested in what was being said. Sometimes the segments will end at convenient times, like right right as a more conservative point is being made. And the “panels” are almost never truly a panel, often it’s 3-4 people that all agree in slightly varying degrees of Left wing opinions. Or even worse, they’ll have one conservative, who almost never gets to speak a full thought, and is really only there to be abused and mischaracterized. Seeing as this is a publicly funded program, I really wish we could get a more balanced product. I wonder if a host change would help, or if the biased goes even deeper. Either way, It’s a disservice to all of the country, by excluding the conservative perspective of roughly half the country. Thanks for your time.

I like the show. I however find the full length episodes coupled with the clips redundant. Make two podcast channels, one for clips and the other full length. I just cleared almost a GB of space by clearing the full length episodes.

Sharp interviews, or documentaries - beautifully edited, concise and artful. Intensely relevant stories/issues, right to the point, but often heart-wrenchingly personal. Varied topics, some more captivating than others, of course, but all socially, politically and personally told. From the CBC...Read full review »

Measured and thoughtful on topics in politics, social issues, arts. Rather one sided and superficial on topics in science or medicine.
