I really like getting more background behind head line stories. I feel I can make better choices by being educated about issues. This podcast does a brilliant job of that. My only complaint is the host has the most annoying way of speaking. He pauses between words way way way too much. Just talk...Read full review »

To say the episode on Venezuela is biased towards one side is not even half of it. This is blatant propaganda. 1. Venezuela is receiving aid from Red Cross and UN aid groups. 2. The US was JUST caught importing weapons into Venezuela. 3. The US and the world is sitting on 30 billion dollars of...Read full review »

I only listen to two podcasts regularly, this and Notes From An American Savage. I listen to this podcast every weekday morning while I drive to work. I love that it’s a quick but informative start to my day on what’s going on most recently in politics. It’s always easy to understand and I love...Read full review »

Top notch propaganda to manufacture consent for Trump & the MIC to steal yet another country’s natural resources from them (Venezuela has the #1 amount of oil reserves in the world) through a regime change war. People should read “War is a Racket” by decorated WW1 hero General Smedley Butler if...Read full review »

I really like the idea of this podcast but I can barely listen due to the weird halting way the host speaks. It’s really distracting, this is a 4 star + review otherwise.

Love love love this podcast. The deep dive is just what I need to stay informed. Whenever Michael doesn't introduce himself or has a different theme music, it throws off my day. The content is great narrated by a soothing voice! Thank you all for such a great start to our day.

I am a daily listener and usually love this show. I really appreciate the variety and mix of news and great in depth reports. Today’s episode on the one yr anniversary of Parkland shooting was simply awful. It was simply a long recording of teenage girls all yammering at the same time. The...Read full review »

Succinct, essential news, easy to follow with obvious attention to detail. Micheal Barbaro is a great host, I enjoy listening to him deliver journalistic excellence on a regular basis. Definitely recommend this podcast for news highlights fixated on the facts. Again, great host.

One of my most favourite podcasts!! I listen every day. Michael is amazing - asks all the right questions, appears unbiased, and conducts great interviews. Gives a really good insight into events packed with facts . My only complaint is that the episodes are too short — i NEED more!!! :)

I absolutely love it, but I wish the beginning didn’t tell us about the kids.

Man, I cannot say enough about Michael Barbaro. If you are looking for a quick news summary, this ain’t it. If you want balanced, intelligent reporting with good conversation, look no further. I will be listening to this podcast as long as it exists.

I adore this podcast and listen to it every day. I’m a NYT groupie and love hearing the journalists discuss their work and of course Michael is an amazing interviewer. I listen The Daily almost daily. It is good and I love it. Only one thing I would like to ask you is about my country, Korea. Even though you don’t like Trumph please be careful when you condemn North Korea for Missiles. You use old story to criticize Trumph but many of US people believe what you...Read full review »

I like this podcast, but the host’s inflections for things, like reading the credits, are a real turn off. I’m used to it now, but it’s really unnecessary. Please stop. On all other counts it’s fantastic.

One sided. I am a self proclaimed liberal and would like to hear from another perspective. While these casts are great, they clearly come from a liberal perspective only.

Michael Barbaro is a wonderful host and I feel much more knowledgeable on each topic the show tackles.

Too much style and not enough substance. Too many voiceovers and not enough new ideas from reporters. Too much historical backtracking and not new information.

I love listening to the Daily. It’s to the point now where I’m a little bit sad when I realize it’s a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday and there won’t be a new episode. Thought provoking, filled with nuance, and well produced — what more can you ask for? I heartily recommend this podcast.

I tap into The Review less and less these days and today’s podcast is a perfect example of why. People are losing elected office for discriminating against sections of their electorate. Good! Maybe if we hold officials to a higher standard (as female elected officials are) then we will become a better and safer country!

Content is great but the host has to stop uttering “huh” or “hmm” or “uh huh” so often after the guest says a sentence. It is distracting, annoying and completely unnecessary.

The Daily is a ground breaking podcast .... lots have followed it into daily ( mon to fri) news briefing current affairs podcasts - I just wish it would look outside US more often - it's obsessed with Trump - but there's other things happening in the world that demand and deserve attention :)

On the recommendation of a friend, I tried out The Daily and I’ve listened to it almost every single day since. I’ve never had an interest in politics or world affairs, but it’s so easy to stay in the loop with these half-hour sessions. I definitely recommend it!

I have been a listener since the Daily began in early 2017. There used to be a much better mix of news and stories but it has turned into a political podcast which for me is much less interesting. While I think Michael and the team do a great job, finding it harder to be interested In the content.

Whether you're on the left or right, this podcast will make you crazy, because it covers the full spectrum of a story. If you're on the left, you'll hate it when the coverage gives credence to positions on the right. The opposite applies, also, of course—people on the right will hate hearing...Read full review »

What if you put in the full interviews without personal commentary that way the public can listen. I don’t have a desire to be entertained by the news. I have a desire to listen and learn. I enjoyed the Daily’s interview with A.G. about the interview with President Trump. I like this show and find Micheal to be a good reporter. I think that the show could interview a more diverse group of people. I also found the dispatch at border episode to be problematic. I like the concept and the format, and really WANTED to like this, but the host is just insufferable. Really irritating voice and the schtick where he earnestly plays dumb and asks obvious questions to which he obviously already knows the answer gets old like immediately.

This used to be my go-to must-listen-first-thing. But it seems to be moving away from that ‘Daily’ news and offering more ‘very special episodes’. I want to like this podcast. I’m a longtime subscriber of the NYT, but just can’t listen to this podcast because of the host. He speaks in a way that’s like nails on a chalkboard to me! I’m sure he’s a good journalist and person, but I’ve unsubscribed because of his delivery.
