Q: with reference to c7m of the podcast, how much of the 25% disparity can be explained by the assimilation of the eastern bloc states from the early 2000’s and since. As you yourself say: every stat has an agenda.

Like so many podcasts that pass on information The David McWilliams Podcast ( with Everyman John on the dials) has drifted towards the Saturday Supplement Section of the Informative Cascade . The danger is that what was once an entertaining inventive wellspring has now settled into a self...Read full review »

I always find the podcasts interesting, informative and entertaining. Even better to see the live show at the South Bank last evening.

Very disappointed to see David lean so ignorantly to the left! David talk about the world wide issue of immigrants, you touched on it last week! Be brave and talk in fact! The idea that Trump being elected is negative is nonsense, he will probably stop the war in Ukraine & Gaza! &...Read full review »

Turkey Brilliant and interesting two part podcast on the history and future of Turkey. Found the presentation fascinating. Kamala’s Cash - as always an insightful analysis of the potential consequences of a Trump/Maga victory in Nov. In particular I was impressed with the summary on Proj. 2025...Read full review »

Pseudo-intellectual, boomer brained centrist dad monetising rambling pontifications, assorted brain f@rts and luxury beliefs with his production team in highly successful podcast. Entertaining. Williams has gift of the gab, but usually very wrong. (anti-English digs in every episode belies a...Read full review »

David McWilliams built the larger part of his career on being right when everyone else was being wrong. His latest thoughts on Gaza, however, are wrong on many levels. David’s podcast “Recognise Palestine, Now What?” is an exercise in convincing popel that an imagined embarrassment is worse...Read full review »

One never knows where the ad begins and the ostensible podcast topic begins. I drop in from time to time and I’m quickly reminded that the podcast is essentially a bunch anecdotes held together with masking tape and smothered with adverts. Waste of time literally.

I generally find this podcast helpful and educational, if a bit behind the times on economics with a strong neoliberal bent (for example, GDP as the be-all and end-all and the appropriate way to measure growth in all cases). But this episode with Pippa Milgram was totally off the rails. They...Read full review »

I can’t think of another podcast that covers so much ground and is so informative as this one . Always entertaining and often funny with the little asides. The range of guests is amazing . Always worth your time to listen.

I love this podcast so much. I learn something new with each listen, and the banter between David and John is gas. It’s disappointing that they don’t feature more guests who aren’t men though.

Been following DMcW writings on and off since he published ‘the good room’. Really enjoy the podcast. Right balance of banter, common sense, history and current integration of economics with reality. Today’s episode essentially showed that David and John don’t have too many of a certain...Read full review »

David has a brilliant knowledge of economics and mostly solid knowledge of history, if he’d stop virtue signalling to the left for brownie points and never said a word again about sport or music, all of which only serves to outline him as a “spoofer”, well then the podcast would be near 5 star....Read full review »
