My only question is why won’t they just re-test everything? New technology= new results. These 3 girls (and their father as well) should not back down until everything is run through again, including the semen that the investigators “assume” was the husband’s. Never assume anything in a homicide...Read full review »

Really great listen. RIP Darlene. I hope your daughters get the answers they deserve.

She needs to stick with Crime Junkie. Ashley has no investigative skills and is just reading what any of us could read. She has made no effort to interview people herself she just reads reports back and news articles. Doing this maybe has worked in the past when getting away with plagiarism but...Read full review »

There’s no reason that should’ve been 15 episodes. A lot of it is very repetitive and feels like this is purposely stretched out. Also, the investigation is pointless and therefore not really worth the time to listen.

The podcast so clearly presented the emotional rollercoaster of evidence of really 4 separate and equally heinous crimes . I couldn’t stop listening and yelling my frustrations and theories along side Ashley and Emily . I can only imagine how much more I would be locked into to solving the...Read full review »

Way too many ads! I feel like the podcast is 50% storyline, 50% ads. The story drags and is nothing like crime junkie. I’m glad I didn’t waste any money on the deck tour after listening to this podcast. Ashley has obviously become money hungry and is looking to profit any way she can off the sad...Read full review »

Shrill, pointless Podcast with zero resolution, and no new information. The two episodes will tell you all you need to know. There is no way that this should be in the top five podcasts. Dumb dumb dumn.

I can’t stand Ashley or any of the podcasts she does. She is a known plagiarist.

This podcast is so well done. This family deserves the answers to their questions. Thank you so much for giving Darlene a voice, the final episode is beautiful and as a new mom it’s something that i can relate to. Thank you!

Not every true crime podcast has such an emotional ending. Beautiful and well done.

Make it 4-5 long episodes, pack in the ads and give us the story without all the wasted time.

This is quite possibly the best show I’ve ever listened to- and that’s saying something because I love ALL of Ashley Flowers’ work!! As always, Ashley and the Audiochuck team’s excellent storytelling and genuine care for the real people behind the story shines through. Their investigation is bold...Read full review »

I love Ashley Flowers and Emily’s investigation and storytelling of this horrible crime. I would love to see it solved. I was wondering if anyone had thought about the blood found on the baby, Kristen. How did that happen and who’s blood was it? Did he plan to take the baby and she fought him...Read full review »

Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. I found this series utterly heartbreaking but essential listening . The strength of Darlene’s daughter’s is inspirational. Told beautifully once again by Ashley

Goodness, why this was 15 episodes, I cannot figure out. It allowed for more commercials? So little was covered in each episode, became frustrating to have to keep moving to another episode. Secondly, I understand that people can do “investigating” on their own, but remember that this is a...Read full review »

Basically they just harass the prosecuting attorney and bash police work. Go be a police detective if you can do so much better 🙄🙄 this could’ve been completed in a 40 minute episode rather than 15 episodes. They just drag everything out making it seem so much bigger than it is. I can’t even...Read full review »

I love Ashley Flower’s and audiochuck’s podcasts. This is by far one of The best podcasts I’ve listened to in a while. Ok, I have a few notes. Lawyers should be involved. Demand a court order for testing the evidence - NOW. I’m pretty sure someone would take it for a lesser pay or even as a pro bono. Also, genetic genealogy should be explored. At first I was not happy that the main detective was sort of...Read full review »

I love Crime Junkie and other audiochuck shows, but this one wasn’t for me. I know the team put a lot of effort into their research, but it felt like this case didn’t actually go anywhere in the end—it definitely wasn’t enough information for a full podcast series. I’m usually really into The Deck and Crime Junkie but this felt rushed and honestly kind of crappy. The the elements of good investigation are in this podcast…I’ve seen independent pods do the same or more with fewer resources …and there is strong story telling. But this should be 6 episodes maximum. It is stretched quite thin and so many advertisements.

Doesn’t even come close to comparison to counter clock, which is also an audio chuck production. Doesn’t feel quite as authentic or exciting as more details unfold. Something missing that I’ve found in other really well produced and investigated podcasts.

Decided to listen to this- very very well done! Ashley did a great job on this - especially holding the prosecutor accountable to his job! Did I really just listen to 15 episodes on one case that didn’t even have any closure? What a waste of time.

I really enjoyed the story but why do you have to add in the deep bass during intense scenes? It makes listening with headphones or in a car difficult because it takes over the talking. Otherwise, enjoyable.

I really feel for the family and I can’t imagine losing a family member in this way, but please leave the investigating to the cops. Clearly just a case they put a ton of resources into for no reason and decided to put out a podcast anyway. Even a 20 minute version of this on the Crime junkie feed would have given the same information.

While I usually enjoy The Deck .. this spin off is tough to get through. All the reenactments and stuff that means nothing to the case.. getting lost easily.. good lord why (how?!) is this spread into 15 parts .. really reaching turning this into a 15 part podcast in my opinion.
