“This past Midsummer’s Eve my family had the pleasure of visiting Bingle. What a treat indeed! We stayed at a lovely cottage on the beach tended by a family of beach gnomes whose hospitality goes back generations.
If you have a chance to visit Bingle, don’t miss Bingle and Loving it! The restaurant is the gem of the Beach District and has been complete rebuilt since the Troubles. The Pineapple Pie and Pinape Kabobs are amazing!
For entertainment my wife and I always love to find the local playhouses and community theaters wherever we go. Bingle though is different! They have a stage on a beach with drinks and tiki torches and everything an island visitor would expect.
Of course Bingle hasn’t always been peaceful and the play we took in was based on the Bingle Troubles. It was a live—almost role playing— of the events by 6 humans from a traveling troupe. Five of whom were garishly costumed to resemble the Bingle Five while the sixth Jack of all trades portrayed the various townspeople and assailants.
No spoilers of course (as of you don't know what happened in Bingle!) but I found the whole portrayal stirring! And to think I was witnessing it on the very beach where the Troubles were ended!
Well, I must say—Bingle is rebuilt and there isn’t a better island adventure for you and your family. Come for the beach, stay for the drinking contests and t-shirt cannons!”Read full review »
