“Overall I enjoy listening to Money Talks, but was disappointed by the presenter's simplistic characterisation of crypto, lumping it all into one and conflating it to a "meme stock". A few bad actors like FTX do not mean all crypto is a "meme stock" and The Economist should know that Gary Gansler's (SEC) view of most crypto as an "unregulated security" is being challenged by the House Financial Service Committee as well as others. Meanwhile, the EU and UK are acting much more favourably to crypto with the MiCA regulation and recent meetings with Coinbase in the UK.
There are thousands of talented people developing exciting blockchain technologies all around the world, including in the UK (like Arweave) with billions being invested by well know companies - Hedera for example, has Boeing, Dell, Google, IBM, LG and others on its Governing Council - hardly a meme stock.”Read full review »
