We are reminded more than once that his office has been voted the best place to work in Nashville. But I'm not sure of the wider appeal of his ideas. This podcast is about hiring which is a great topic. What comes through, though, is his condescension for his employees. The ones that don't work out are "nut jobs". He is looking for 17 web designers but "I can't find these turkeys". Hint: maybe don't think of them as turkeys? He recommends looking to his employees friends as potential hires, but warns them "don't bring your crazy friends. We don't want 'em". Some employees “don’t understand that we take an hour a week to do a devotional. It freaks them out….I get into all this crap with these people.” Then he goes on to mock their criticisms in a whiny childlike voice. Some people will love this. I didn’t.Read full review »
