Insightful, engaging, fun and beautifully crafted.
There are so many of these sorts of podcasts around and yet this one shines above the rest by a mile. For a start it is technically perfectly put together, with enough archival material and extra music cues to break the pace from the chats and yet wihout ever making them feel intrusive or break the flaw of the arguents. The reviews and comments always feel spontaneous and real and yet they quickly veer to the point without loosing focus of theargument. They manage to be funny and insightful at the same time. It's a little bit like listening to some friends talking about your favourite subjects, which is how all podcasts should be. Both the host and the rotating guests are engaging and brig their own prospective and knowledge to the table. I'm a super-horror fan myself and yet I've actually learnt something new! These are not just horror affecionados, they clearly are cinema lovers too: so they are able to dissect each film recognising faults and merits and its place in cinema history. I sincerely hope this is going to go on for a while, if not forever.Read full review »
