In working with sales leaders and their teams, it is intriguing to observe the language that is used and the behaviours demonstrated, that often leads to results that the salesperson and/or sales leader does not want. And when trying to get sales people back on track, the leader or the 'coach' often looks directly at the behaviour and seeks to make behavioural changes, that will lead to a different result. This can very often only have short term results, because the root cause of the challenge hasn't been dealt with.
