“I’m 58 and just started low heart rate training. I’ve run a few half marathons each year for the last 25 years and am happy with any sub 2 hr time. I usually “peak” at 12 miles just before the race and then take time off. With low heart rate training I’ve already done 10 and 12 mile runs easily and feeling great, and I’m still 2 months from race day. Listening to you and your guests has made me understand that running slow is actually excellent training. I feel much stronger, long runs are easier, and I feel that I’m less likely to get hurt. Looking forward to race day and maybe consider my first marathon?!!”
