Entertaining and informative
After 40+ episodes, this is the only podcast that I've listened through from Episode 1. I'm still gaining helpful tidbits from their show as one with about 20 overnight trips and over 300 miles of backcountry experience. As their intro upfront would indicate, their show is probably less insightful for seasoned thru hikers. Josh and Heather: If you're still looking for an overnight north of the boarder, consider the Mt Assiniboine area near Banff/Canmore, AB. Thanks for the show!Read full review »

Great for beginners or for a fresh perspective for a veteran hiker. Useful information rather than localized beer reviews or the same old 15 year old trail stories that seem to be the pass for backpacking podcasts on iTunes. Heather and Josh are a treat to listen to.

I love these guys! They get me through work and fill me head with knowledge that I never would have thought about. I am a beginner and for the time being a solo backpacker.. So they help me out insanely, and they are always a joy to listen to!
