Just magnificent
The Fitzroy Diaries brings to life the joy and happiness you feel when you're part of a community. It mightn't always be glamorous, but it's fulfilling, and while Lorin Clarke's stories are about life on a street and the many varied and interesting characters that inhabit it, she could be talking about a local club, pub, cafe or playgroup. Places which provide a life and social setting for many who don't have a close family for many good and bad reasons, but are still surrounded by others who care for them. From the outside it's easy to dismiss as mundane and boring, but when you're part of it, it's worth protecting. That's what the Fitzroy Diaries is providing. A snapshot of lives, loves, trials and tribulations, and it's done in a way that celebrates it and makes you wish, "I want to live somewhere like that".Read full review »

It’s difficult to describe how beautiful these stories are, so full of life and the nostalgia of many neighborhoods and people that have existed in my own life and such a sublime reminder of home. I’ve found myself smiling from the inside out.

Totally transported to the streets of Fitzroy. Loved every minute of every episode. Could smell the smells, hear the sounds and imagine every last person in it!
