It is 2024 now and this is still the best thing made since podcasts exist and I still hope for a next season!

I think I’ve written this review before but I’m doing it again because I love this podcast SO much. I’m on my 4th listen of it because it is that good. Delightfully charming, relaxing, engaging and emotional. I love the simplicity of the story, the complexity of the characters, and overall just...Read full review »

This podcast is beautiful. I found it during quarantine times, and in the past four years I’ve listened to it five or six times through and introduced friends to it as often as I can. It’s warm and full of good will and attentiveness. It makes me want to get to know my neighbors, delight in the...Read full review »

I sat down and listened to this podcast while working and I was just captivated. This podcast is a keeper and I will listen again. I wish there were more podcasts like this one. A true gem. I have listened to this podcast again and again and every time it still captivates me. 😀

Any chance we’ll be hearing from our favorite Fitzroy characters? I miss them!

I love this podcast, it is beautifully written and so soothing. It's like taking a hot bath, or having a massage on the beach on a warm summer's evening. Things that I love? The smell of oranges, the word susuruss, this podcast..., and you.Read full review »

I am not the sort of person to choke up at Hallmark commercials, and latter-day Saints commercials, so explain to me why at the end of episode seven, I was blinking back bright tears at “and I? I’m in charge of the salad.” Just a fluke. It doesn’t mean anything, onto episode eight but no, i gulp...Read full review »

I came across Season 3 of this series by accident, and had to binge the whole season immediately. Then I went back to Seasons 1 and 2 and f found them just as captivating. Lorin Clarke, the writer and central performer, is John Clarke’s daughter, and has the same ability to describe familiar...Read full review »

I have been listening to this podcast whilst sick and it has bought a gentle, reassuring warmth. Bursting with charming characters and affectionate observations of humble daily activities. It makes me laugh sometimes and cry too. Thanks

I’ve become quite attached to this motley crew of beautiful oddballs. The author has created an amazing community that feels like home.

This meandering tale has me walking the streets of Fitzroy alongside Lorin. The soothing tones of her beautiful voice take me to my happy place and I feel calmly nestled inside her street community. Such clever writing, thank you Lorin!!!

I so appreciate this podcast. It’s pleasant and great and truly lovely. It makes you stop and think about what you actually love and those small things you may not love.

I left Melbourne a few years ago and love the reminder of community and Fitzroy a place I lived in. It’s a gorgeous listen, gentle and just lovely-a tonic for the ages.

There was a hole after series 2 came to an end, so when I caught wind of 3, a small release of endorphin brought a smile to my face. Just enough information to give context, no specifics about anything effecting us all (to make this timeless) just life and reality. Like an old friend Thanks.

The diaries are back! I am keeping them for the holidays 😃My special treat with the baking, a fire and a glass of something. They are in my library, I can see the picture, just there…

I love this series so much. It is keenly observed, poignantly touching and laugh-out-loud funny. I’m trying to stretch the third series out - make it last. The last episode I listened to made cleaning the kids’ bathroom an absolute delight! One problem - I can no longer listen to a traffic report...Read full review »

The Fitzroy Diaries brings to life the joy and happiness you feel when you're part of a community. It mightn't always be glamorous, but it's fulfilling, and while Lorin Clarke's stories are about life on a street and the many varied and interesting characters that inhabit it, she...Read full review »

Beautifully written and performed. Engaging stories about day to day life with a cast of colourful characters. The author weaves thoughts about minuscule details such as door colours, window teddies and fence-peeing, with large ideas of relationships and death. I was so excited for Season 3 and...Read full review »

Delighted that Fitzroy Diaries is back. Lorin Clarke captures the essence of inner-city life, life with kids, and the importance of community. Series 3 didn’t disappoint. Loved the big ‘reveal’ at the end.

So great to have another season of this - such a wonderfully written and told podcast. I am worried that there were so many new voices in season 3 and it feels like it’s being set up for ‘Spike’ to take over. I hope this isn’t so.

I have devoured series 3, it’s like a old friend was taking me on a stroll through the streets of Fitzroy. I was in another world. The feels I get when listening to this, I t’s difficult to explain! It’s so beautiful, taking the listener out of our day-to-day and putting us in the day-to-day of people in Fitzroy, that is just beautiful enough it feels like fiction. But real enough that it gives us hope that we can still find...Read full review »

Lorin is a wonderful writer and narrator. Her descriptions of everyday minutiae are insightful and her observations of the people around her have sometimes brought me to tears. She reminds me to ‘think of the things I love’. The second and third seasons are just as wonderful as the first.
