A dour presenting style contrasted with ramped up sound design from an audio library of the ‘bleeding obvious’. Xmas edition particularly bad for this. Cheer up & cut the tunes - we know what Christmas sounds like.

Food writer and expert Sheila Dillon has a great radio voice. The show is intelligent discussion on everything from bespoke food trends to the economics of industrial production: a very enjoyable stimulating listen in a bite sized chunk.

Jaega does not have much ability as a presenter yet. She needs more insight, more welly and more polish too. She is unable to debate issues with her interviewees and it makes for uncomfortable listening, especially as her delivery is still flat and unengaging.
