I quite enjoy the banter between Joe & Drew, at times comical, at times serious & respectful meditations on the Godzilla films & other Toho monster films. The audio quality is top notch.
The commentary format actually works very well for me. So many podcasts discuss generalities, whereas with this podcast, you'll get very specific thoughts on individual shots, lighting, framing, sound & set design, acting, etc. And they always include info about the work of the cast & crew, helping to put the continuity of people working in the Godzilla universe in context. I have gone through every Godzilla film episode, watching the movie along with the hosts. Honestly, I would love to see a written companion to the Godzilla/Toho monsterverse with thoughts taken from each episode.”Read full review »
