My cricketing history couldn’t be more dissimilar to that characterised by this podcast; deeply average school team bowling, a year in the under-13s of a North London cricket club (primarily a ruse to avoid joining the scouts and to learn how to smoke), a stint as scorer at my dad’s club in order to procure a weekly pint of shandy and a bag or two of crisps, and a mortifying innings and one humbling over for a pub team in my mid-thirties.
No experience related to rigs, pipes, salads, circuits, or any other Grade Archetype, and yet somehow this podcast remains strangely compelling.”
