Intelligent, Insightful and Amusing
Jason Solomons presents a well observed film magazine programme. The reviews are intelligent and balanced, without the genre bias that comes with Kermode. The interviews are lively with an emphasis on the films rather than the personalities. Jason is joined by The Guardian's Xan Brooks who adds to the reviews and features. Man, this guy is irritating. He generally covers the right films and gets the good interviews, but if he was any more smug he would disappear up his own backside. I mean, what kind of interviewer talks more than (and over) his guests?! Try Kermode, Filmspotting and Movietime instead.
