Good beginning of a history podcast
Good show but would recommend being note linear with timelines. Jumping back and forth makes it hard to follow. I loved Mr Duncan's The History if Rome and was/is a Fan from the very Beginning. I am a Roman reenactors and do early 1st and late 4th Century. Do not know of any Byzantine reenactment groups. I had just finished with The History of Rome (of which I highly recommend) and was looking for something that picked up where that one ended and this has filled the void. While I would love to be further along in the podcast, I am enjoying listening when I am able to listen to it.

I've started listening to the History of Byzantium in preparation for a trip to Istanbul. There are few resources on iTunes for learning about the history of Constantinople/Istanbul. This podcast fits the bill perfectly, and beyond that it is incredibly enjoyable to listen to.Read full review »
