“Just as the withdrawals had subsided and life was getting back to a History of Rome-free normalcy, along come History of Rome, Part Deux: Byzantium! I am once again addicted, once again looking forward to my Monday morning fix. Only if you are looking for that steady rhythm of podcast release dates you will be sorely tested here. The content is easily on par with Mike Duncan's legendary podcast, History of Rome, and is in fact a worthy successor, but the scheduling isn't. Admittedly, that's the worst thing I can think to say about the podcast. Fortunately I started listening when there was a fairly decent stock of episodes to catch up. Unfortunately I'm now caught up, and nowMonday morning is a hopeful click to see if there's anything waiting for me — I feel like a teenage girl waiting by the phone to see if that guy will call, not sure if I'm going to be stood up or not.
