“A wonderfully clear, erudite and detailed podcast. The podcaster doesn't stint on setting the scene, and focuses on telling the story, with an occasional humorous interjection. I think this is the best approach to teach history - events rather than dates, context rather than exposition, narrative rather than dry facts. For all that, the podcaster knows a great deal, has a great command of detail, and hasn't put a foot wrong that I can tell. I enjoyed it immensely.”Read full review »

“Been listening since the first episode, and then re-listening over and over. Only complaint is that on my older ipod, the changing of "#" to "episode", or vis versa. makes it very difficult to listen in sequence.”Read full review »
