Really good podcast
One of the best history podcasts out there. The podcaster is an actual Egyptologist, which definitely helps, but even beyond that it's well written and engaging, and he makes a special effort to point out where there are multiple interpretations to the historical events and to remind the listeners that a lot isn't so certain, which is something I think a lot of podcasters miss. Only criticisms: there are a couple of ads in some of the more recent episodes, which I'm totally fine with by its self, but they get cut in at pretty awkward times, often mid sentence. And in a couple of the early episodes, when he stumbled over a line, he'd kind of sit there angry about it for a second or two rather than editing or carrying on, which was a bit odd. But those are just really minor issues in an otherwise outstanding show, I would definitely recommend this podcast to anybody who's interested in Egypt or history.Read full review »

The levels are too low. Very quiet... But other than that it's an AWESOME podcast. Totally love it.Read full review »

Dominic Perry has a very easy to listen to but very factual approach to this podcast. It is very clear he knows his subject very well and is passionate about it. If you have any interest at all in agent Egypt, and this is much more than just the Pharoahs, then this is the place for you.
