“This is a really great history of England podcast. It is a little like the epic, and standard setting, Mike Duncan's The History of Rome. There are nice flashes of humour once you get past episode 10 and the length/depth are nicely balanced. The focus is sometimes a bit too much on the monarch themselves, and the lack of depth of economic history in each episode means it doesn't get the full 5 stars, but it is very close!
