I'm reviewing this podcast from the perspective of being a New Zealander of British decent. My interest in the history of the UK goes hand-in-hand with researching my family's British genealogy and my desire to get the most out of my time traveling to the UK next year. In that respect, the information that this podcast gives is very relevant. I'm up to episode 30 now and already have a much clearer understanding of how England has historically evolved, notably with the integration of the Anglo-Saxons, the Vikings, and the Normans. I like that the podcast includes aspects of what society was like during those times, and I really enjoy David Crowther's dry and modest British humor.Read full review »
