great history
The episodes start off pretty rough, to be honest ... it all seemed a blur of names and places to me. Once the Normans enter the picture David slows down and finds his voice, and the podcast becomes infinitely more engaging. I think he's still finding it, actually - so there's the double pleasure of learning the History of England, and watching this guy develop his style. Mike Duncan was a bit rough at first too, and now his History of Rome is setting the standard for what a history podcast can be. So far, the History of England is shaping up to be a worthy successor!Read full review »

This is a podcast to hold up as a yard stick to others. Informative , and a touch of Python . Great delivery .
