“The Intelligence from the Economist is the best of the now-many daily news podcasts out there from major new organizations. It avoids three pitfalls that I dislike in many daily podcasts (1) It is not America-centric (though it does address the major US stories when appropriate); (2) the host does not pretend to be dumber than he or she is in order to ask questions as a surrogate for the listener, and (3) it is unbiased, but not never falls into false equivalence (those latter 2 failings are what finally drove me to unsubscribe from NY Times' The Daily). “I love how The Intelligence a) deals with serious news stories, but is unafraid to be humourous at the same time, b) ties in and adds on to stories from the current issue of the magazine. They delve deep and let listeners learn a whole lot in a relatively short amount of time.”
